Seeds: Waiting
Seeds: Waiting, is a two sculpture series made from a singular block of walnut, cotton thread, and 4 seeds. Seeds, unplanted and Two-seed pendulum explore wood as a material: from the role trees play in our lives as a source of life - to their use as a resource, a tool, a building material. The process of destroying/shaping the wood plays with dualistic view of humans and nature - nature as a material to be shaped; to serve.
Seeds, unplanted
The crochet serves as a reflection: a slow repetitive process of finding structure through tension. An act of healing. The seeds which levitate, held within the crochet satchels, imagine alternative realities.
