A temporary installation piece, Feeling the sky, was inspired by the transient state of the levitating tree from which the web hangs. I see webs as a structure to understand beings, relationships, histories, futures. A tangled mess, an intricate manifestation. Often invisible, until you’re looking for them. This work considers the interconnected web of life that exists within forests. Lifecycles that repeat, systems that eventually swallow individuals. Feeling the sky imagines the future of its resting place, honoring the impermanent and delicate state of balance that it mimics.
